POP! Whiting Show Opening

POP! WHITING Opening Reception Friday, Nov. 5 at Studio 659

Whiting will be hosting some of North America’s best POP artists from Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Gary, Hebron and well, even Canada.

If you love pop cultural, you’ll love this show.  Just added to the show — artist Epyon 5 who will have his art featured in the new Transformer 3 movie.  See his work in Whiting first before you catch it in the movie.   “Solidarity” image shown here.

Also, featured artist Skip Williamson, who got his start when Gloria Steinman gave him a shot in Help! magazine – he then went on to illustrate the famous “Steal This Book” by Abbie Hoffman, become the Art Director of Playboy where he invented the “Playboy Funnies” and Skip is now bringing his 3-D art to Whiting – after being in the NY Cultural Center, Lucca Festival in Italy, the Art Institute of Chicago and many others.

The show opens at 6:59 pm that night and runs ’til 10 pm.  Come enjoy the “pop” snacks, refreshments and music.   Other artists included in the night are: Joe Pellegrin, Chris Peldo, Monica Manoski, Jon Meyers, Judith Mayer, Joshua Alderson, Jackie Weinberg, Hal Mayforth, Howie Green, SooZ and more.
